Jac Food Hub is proud to announce the signing of a three-party agreement with the City of Montréal and the Government of Quebec. This agreement guarantees the continuation of Jac Food Hub's rendering operations in Montréal while promoting a harmonious coexistence with its neighbours.
The agreement, which the Superior Court of Québec ratified in March 2024, proposes a series of measures, including creating a special intervention zone (ZIS) in the vicinity of the Jac Food Hub plant in Montréal.

Investments to improve the quality of life of Rivière-des-Prairies residents and promote Quebec’s food self-sufficiency include

• The construction of garages to cease outdoor storage of animal materials
• The addition of an air purification system at the main plant
• The creation of a water treatment plant
• The relocation of the main entrance for raw-material trucks to 7e Rue
• The redesigning of the landscape overlooking Maurice-Duplessis Boulevard

These measures underscore Jac Food Hub’s commitment to both the community and its industry. Thanks to these initiatives, which will foster a harmonious relationship between the plant and residents of the surrounding neighbourhoods, Jac Food Hub is confidently setting its sights on the future, as stated by CEO Martial Hamel.
